Non-accredited trainingThis non-accredited course equips participants with the knowledge and skills needed to understand the concepts of mental health, recognise early signs of mental health challenges, respond appropriately, and provide meaningful support to colleagues or team members in the workplace.
Today’s workforce faces a range of pressures, including increasing workloads, interpersonal conflicts, financial stress, and exposure to challenging or traumatic incidents. This course aims to empower participants to better understand these challenges and develop the confidence to provide support within a professional setting, fostering a safe and supportive workplace culture.
This course is intended to provide participants with the following outcomes:
- Empowering participants with the knowledge and skills to understand workplace mental health concepts and recognise the physical, behavioural, and psychological signs indicating changes in a colleague's mental wellbeing.
- Addressing immediate safety concerns in the aftermath of a workplace incident or distressing situation.
- Knowing how to respond to emerging mental health crises, ensuring the safety of all involved and understanding how to access appropriate workplace protocols, professional help, or support services.
- Developing an understanding of the unique mental health challenges faced in diverse workplace settings and how to provide appropriate support to promote resilience, wellbeing, and productivity.
