This course applies to individuals required to comply with site work processes and procedures in various workplace settings, such as mining, construction, or industrial sites. Participants will develop the skills and knowledge to interpret and apply site policies and procedures, monitor and address compliance, report incidents, and complete workplace documentation. The course focuses on work health and safety, risk management, and effective communication to achieve safe work outcomes while meeting regulatory requirements. This unit aligns with industry standards, codes of practice, and national legislation to ensure participants are equipped to maintain safety, productivity, and compliance within their scope of responsibilities.

This course can be delivered/assessed in the workplace or at facility organised by the training provider.

Course Durations

Course durations can vary for multiple reasons, so the durations below are the minimum possible amount.

Face-to-Face Face to Face contact time of at least 5 Hours

An individual undertaking this course with Allens Training Pty Ltd will need to demonstrate the following to be eligible for entry:

  • Industry Experience: It is recommended students are working or have prior experience in the resources, industrial and/or infrastructure industries.
  • Physical and Psychological Capability: Students must be physically and mentally capable of performing the practical tasks required for this course.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Students must provide and wear protective footwear/safety shoes and comfortable, practical clothing during practical sessions and assessments.
  • Language, Literacy, and Numeracy Skills (LLN): Students must be able to:
    • Read and interpret documentation including legislation, regulations, and workplace procedures.
    • Communicate clearly in English, including the correct usage of industry terminology
    • Complete workplace forms and reports.

Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks.

This certificate does not require renewal

  • Identify & Report a Non-Compliance
  • Respond to an Incident

Documentation:

  • Complete a Take 5 Hazard Identification Form
  • Complete an Incident Report

Theory assessment: A written exam consisting of multiple-choice and short-answer questions must be completed at the end of the training session. Students must answer all questions.
